Why this tool?

Why Scale Images?

Sometimes you need to adjust image size by a percentage rather than specific dimensions. Scaling is perfect for batch processing similar images, preparing multiple versions, or adjusting to fit specific requirements while keeping aspect ratio intact.

How It Works:

Upload your image and select a scale percentage (50% for half size, 200% to double). Adjust quality settings to control file size. Real-time preview shows the new dimensions. High-quality interpolation preserves sharpness at any scale. Download instantly.

Key Features:

  • Percentage-based Scaling: Simple presets or custom values
  • Aspect Ratio Preserved: Width and height scale proportionally
  • Quality Control: Adjust compression to balance size and quality
  • Real-time Preview: See new dimensions before processing
  • Instant Processing: All scaling in your browser

How to use this tool?

  1. Upload your image - Select the image you want to scale
  2. Set scale percentage - Choose how much to enlarge or shrink
  3. Adjust quality - Higher quality = larger file, lower quality = smaller file
  4. Preview dimensions - See the new width and height before processing
  5. Click "Scale Image" - Process your image
  6. Download result - Save your scaled image

132-bit Secure & Private

Your data is secure and automatically deleted. All processing is done in your browser with 132-bit encryption. Data uploaded to our servers is automatically deleted after 1 hour of inactivity.

132-bit data secured with encryption*

We use AES-GCM 128-bit encryption combined with HMAC and cryptographic salt, providing effective ~132-bit entropy for any data. This military-grade encryption ensures your image data remains completely private and secure. All data is automatically deleted from our servers after 1 hour of inactivity.

* Technical note: 128-bit AES-GCM + 32-bit HMAC/salt = ~132-bit effective security entropy

FAQ & troubleshooting

What percentage should I use?

Common scales: 50% for half size, 75% for slightly smaller, 150% for 50% larger, 200% for double.

Will scaling reduce quality?

Scaling up may show quality loss at high percentages. Scaling down improves quality. Use the quality slider to control file size.

Can I scale non-proportionally?

This tool maintains aspect ratio. For custom proportions, use our Image Resizer tool instead.

What happens to aspect ratio?

Aspect ratio is always preserved. An 800x600 image scaled to 50% becomes 400x300β€”perfectly proportional.

Can I scale multiple images?

Currently you scale one image at a time. Batch scaling is coming in v2 of the tool.

Is my image data secure?

Absolutely. All scaling happens entirely in your browser. Your image never leaves your device. After processing and downloading, temporary data is automatically deleted from our servers after one hour of inactivity.
